It is a new farm found amazingly inside the city of Hong Kong. This farm is started recently from this year. It was started by Michael Leung, the founder of HK farm. This idea was arose when he visited the largest rooftop farm, Brooklyn Grange.



2.     BROOKLYN GRANGE(NEW YORK CITY):

The largest urban rooftop farm in the world, Brooklyn Grange serves the local community with real organically produced vegetables and fruits. This produces about 40000 lbs of vegetables and send them to the restaurants. This also handling the egg laying chickens and it has also launched a apiary, for cultivating honey. This is called as the international capital of urban farming because they hosts thousands of New York youth generations for educational tour and workshops in each season. For a year, approximately this garden produces about 80 tons of vegetables.



3.     DAKAKKER(ROTTERDAM):

An architectural crew has arranged a building in the center of the city in Rotterdam. This was first built as a test site on the top of the building named Schieblock. The urban rooftop farm, called dakkaker, produces their vegetables to restaurants and the shops. This crew also opened a garden in netherland called Zuidpark. This focuses mostly on the educational workshops, as well as organizing special dinners with a attractive way.



4.    CITY FARM(TOKYO):

City farm in Tokyo has producing local food for the community is the same and also in activities are organized to let the urban population witness how food grows. City farm produces crops like rice, egg plants and soya beans. This farm only focuses on the Japanese kitchen crops. The farm offers sixteen small plots at rents ranging from 170-250 dollars per month.


5.     LUFA FARMS(MONNTREAL):


This is quite interesting to interesting to listen. This farm is found on a 31,000 square foot greenhouse. Over 40 different crops are being produced year. There is some extra energy is needed to those crops in the greenhouse. This energy is also provided by the building too .This is find a way in expanding the work of urban farming also in US.
